What you can request
Shraddh & remembrance
These are the requests we are most careful with, and the ones we most often decline.
Remembrance sevas are requested by people who could not travel for a death, or who cannot travel for the anniversary of one. We take them seriously and we are honest about their limits.
What can be arranged
- Tarpan and pind daan at the recognised sites, performed by the priests who perform them, with your Sevak present and recording
- Deepam and archana on the tithi
- Quran khwani and fatiha for the departed
- Ardaas and a langar contribution in their name
- Mass intention for the repose of the soul, and All Souls intentions
- A candle, a flower, a name read aloud — on the day, at the place that mattered to them
What cannot
Rites that require the son, the family, or the body to be present cannot be performed by a stand-in, and we will not pretend otherwise. If your request falls into this, we will tell you what part of it can genuinely be done and decline the rest.
Reassurance
Remembrance sevas are never used in marketing. They do not appear in the public activity feed, they are not shown as an example anywhere, and no photograph from one is ever used by us for anything.
