# What Sevahey cannot do

> Sevahey arranges a prayer at a place of worship and returns evidence it happened. Everything below is outside that. Where another body can help, it is named.

There are 47 limits. Most are also stated on the page for the ritual, bani, Guru or term they belong to; they are gathered here so the whole picture is available in one place.

Sevahey does not perform Sikh paths, does not resell any temple's own ticket or room bookings, does not deliver prasad yet, does not offer astrology, and does not promise that a prayer will be answered.

## The service itself

What Sevahey does not sell, does not promise, and has not built yet.

- **Pricing** (https://sevahey.com/docs/pricing/): Sevahey does not sell a subscription, a membership, or a priority tier that promises a better prayer, and does not raise prices on festival days. A Sevak earns the same whatever you book, so there is nothing for them to upsell you.
- **What your proof contains** (https://sevahey.com/docs/proof/): Sevahey does not use your proof for anything. No photograph from a seva appears in Sevahey's marketing, on the homepage, or in any example, unless you have specifically been asked and have said yes.
- **How we verify a place** (https://sevahey.com/docs/verification/): Sevahey does not photograph where a place of worship does not permit photography, and does not fill the gap with a photograph from another day. Where recording is restricted, that is stated before you pay and the proof takes another form: the audio, the note, and a photograph from the permitted area.
- **How we verify a place** (https://sevahey.com/docs/verification/): Sevahey does not charge for a place it has not verified. If you request somewhere not yet verified, verification usually takes two to five days, you are not charged until it is confirmed, and if it cannot be verified you are told why.
- **Timing** (https://sevahey.com/docs/timing/): Sevahey does not choose the hour a seva happens. An archana happens during the temple's archana, Fajr happens at Fajr, and a mass intention is offered at a mass. Where a seva has a proper hour, that hour decides the schedule, and it may mean tomorrow morning rather than this afternoon.
- **Puja & archana** (https://sevahey.com/docs/puja/#prasad): Prasad delivery is not available yet. Prasad from your seva is distributed at the temple in the ordinary way, and this is stated on the seva before you pay. Courier to an Indian address is being built and will be added as a separate option once it genuinely works.
- **Timing** (https://sevahey.com/docs/timing/): Sevahey does not offer astrology, horoscopes, or kundli readings, and does not advise anyone on which date or muhurat to choose. If your family follows a specific tithi or muhurat you can set it and the seva is performed on that date, but the choice is yours and Sevahey takes no position on it.
- **If something goes wrong** (https://sevahey.com/docs/problems/): Sevahey does not promise an outcome. What is guaranteed is that the seva is performed at the place you chose, in the name you gave, and evidenced. Whether a prayer is answered is not a thing any service can sell, and Sevahey does not claim it.

## Temple rituals

Rituals the temple runs through its own booking, which Sevahey cannot sell and does not resell.

- **Anand Karaj, the Sikh Marriage Ceremony** (https://sevahey.com/rituals/anand-karaj/): Sevahey does not arrange marriages. It does not book Anand Karaj ceremonies, does not approach gurudwara committees on anyone's behalf, does not supply a granthi or ragis, and has no role in the civil registration a marriage may also require. This page exists to explain the ceremony, not to sell any part of it, an Anand Karaj is arranged with a gurudwara, directly, by the families concerned.
- **Bangla Sahib Room Booking** (https://sevahey.com/rituals/bangla-sahib-room-booking/): Sevahey does not book rooms at Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. It cannot hold or reserve a place at the Guru Harkrishan Yatri Niwas, takes no payment on the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee's behalf, and has no relationship with the committee. Accommodation at Bangla Sahib is arranged with DSGMC directly and nowhere else. What Sevahey does is for the devotee who cannot come to Delhi at all.
- **Golden Temple Sarai Room Booking** (https://sevahey.com/rituals/golden-temple-room-booking/): Sevahey does not book sarai rooms. It cannot hold, reserve or resell accommodation at Sri Harmandir Sahib, takes no payment on SGPC's behalf, and has no relationship with the committee. If you want a room, the SGPC portal above and the sarai counters inside the complex are the only routes, and they are the only ones we would point you to. What Sevahey does is a different thing altogether, for the devotee who is not coming to Amritsar at all.
- **Hemkund Sahib Yatra Registration** (https://sevahey.com/rituals/hemkund-sahib-registration/): Sevahey does not do yatra registration. It cannot register you for the Hemkund Sahib yatra, cannot obtain a Yatra Registration Letter on your behalf, does not sell helicopter seats, and does not arrange ponies, porters, guides or rooms at Ghangaria. All of that runs through the Uttarakhand government's portal and the operators on the route. What Sevahey offers is for the devotee who is not going to make the climb at all, and it is available only while the shrine is open for the season.
- **Kaal Sarp Dosh Puja at Trimbakeshwar** (https://sevahey.com/rituals/kaal-sarp-dosh-puja-trimbakeshwar/): Sevahey does not perform astrological readings, does not tell you whether you have Kaal Sarp Dosh, and does not arrange the full Kaal Sarp Nivaran Puja with its pandits and its three-hour vidhi. That rite needs your birth chart and your presence, and it is arranged directly at Trimbakeshwar. Sevahey also promises no outcome from any prayer or ritual.
- **Kashi Vishwanath Rudrabhishek** (https://sevahey.com/rituals/kashi-vishwanath-rudrabhishek/): Sevahey does not sell Sugam Darshan tickets, aarti tickets, or garbhagriha access at Kashi Vishwanath, and has no arrangement with the temple trust. If you are travelling to Varanasi yourself, book on the trust's own portal.
- **Mahakaleshwar Bhasma Aarti** (https://sevahey.com/rituals/mahakaleshwar-bhasma-aarti/): Sevahey does not book Bhasma Aarti entry, cannot obtain a permit for you to attend, and does not resell temple tickets of any kind. If you want to be present at the Bhasma Aarti yourself, the temple committee's portal above is the route, and it is the only one we would point you to.
- **Palani Murugan Temple Online Booking** (https://sevahey.com/rituals/palani-temple-online-booking/): Sevahey does not sell Palani darshan tickets, abhishekam tickets, winch or rope car tickets, and has no arrangement with HR&CE. If you are travelling to Palani yourself, the HR&CE portal above is the place to book and the only one we would send you to.
- **Tiruchendur Murugan Temple Online Booking** (https://sevahey.com/rituals/tiruchendur-temple-online-booking/): Sevahey does not sell Tiruchendur darshan or abhishekam tickets and has no arrangement with HR&CE. If you are making the journey yourself, book on the HR&CE portal above.

Sevahey arranges an ardas at a gurudwara. It does not perform paths, and it publishes no scripture.

- **Japji Sahib Path** (https://sevahey.com/paths/japji-sahib/): Sevahey does not perform paths. No Sevak recites Japji Sahib for you, and this page carries no text, transliteration or recording of the bani. For the words, read the Guru Granth Sahib or use your gurudwara's own resource. What Sevahey arranges is an ardas at a gurudwara, which is a different thing and described below.
- **Jaap Sahib Path** (https://sevahey.com/paths/jaap-sahib/): Sevahey does not perform paths. No Sevak recites Jaap Sahib for you, and this page carries no text, transliteration or recording of the bani. For the words, read the Dasam Granth or use your gurudwara's own resource. What Sevahey arranges is an ardas at a gurudwara, which is a different thing and described below.
- **Tav-Prasad Savaiye Path** (https://sevahey.com/paths/tav-prasad-savaiye/): Sevahey does not perform paths. No Sevak recites Tav-Prasad Savaiye for you, and this page carries no text, transliteration or recording of the bani. For the words, read the Akal Ustat in the Dasam Granth or use your gurudwara's own resource. What Sevahey arranges is an ardas at a gurudwara, which is a different thing and described below.
- **Chaupai Sahib Path** (https://sevahey.com/paths/chaupai-sahib/): Sevahey does not perform paths. No Sevak recites Chaupai Sahib for you, and this page carries no text, transliteration or recording of the bani. An ardas at a gurudwara is what Sevahey arranges, and it is a different thing.
- **Anand Sahib Path** (https://sevahey.com/paths/anand-sahib/): Sevahey does not perform paths. No Sevak recites Anand Sahib for you, and this page carries no text, transliteration or recording of the bani. For the words, read the Guru Granth Sahib at angs 917 to 922 or use your gurudwara's own resource. Sevahey also does not arrange or officiate an Anand Karaj. What Sevahey arranges is an ardas at a gurudwara, which is a different thing and described below.
- **Rehras Sahib Path** (https://sevahey.com/paths/rehras-sahib/): Sevahey does not perform paths. No Sevak recites Rehras Sahib for you, and this page carries no text, transliteration or recording of the bani. What Sevahey arranges is an ardas at a gurudwara, described below.
- **Kirtan Sohila Path** (https://sevahey.com/paths/kirtan-sohila/): Sevahey does not perform paths. No Sevak recites Kirtan Sohila for you, and this page carries no text, transliteration or recording of the bani. Sevahey also does not conduct or arrange an antam sanskar, and no part of a Sikh funeral rite can be booked through it. What Sevahey arranges is an ardas at a gurudwara, which is a different thing and described below.
- **Sukhmani Sahib Path** (https://sevahey.com/paths/sukhmani-sahib/): Sevahey does not perform paths and does not arrange a Sukhmani Sahib path with a gurudwara or a group of readers. No Sevak reads it for you, and this page carries no text, transliteration or recording of the bani. If you want a Sukhmani Sahib path held, ask the gurudwara your family attends: they arrange these routinely and will know the sangat.
- **Sehaj Path** (https://sevahey.com/paths/sehaj-path/): Sevahey does not perform or arrange Sehaj Paths, does not supply readers, and does not schedule a bhog. A Sehaj Path is read by a devotee or a family themselves, or arranged through a gurudwara. It is not a thing to be outsourced, and we would not offer to.
- **Akhand Path** (https://sevahey.com/paths/akhand-path/): Sevahey does not arrange Akhand Paths. It does not supply granthis or readers, does not arrange the installation of the Guru Granth Sahib, does not schedule a bhog, and takes no payment toward any part of it. An Akhand Path is arranged directly with a gurudwara, which is the only body that can commit a rota of readers and a room for two days. If you are searching for how to book one, a gurudwara is who to call.

## The ten Sikh Gurus

Sevahey sells nothing connected to a Guru and publishes no portrait of one.

- **Guru Nanak, the First Guru** (https://sevahey.com/gurus/guru-nanak/): Sevahey sells nothing connected to Guru Nanak and publishes no image of him. The two places most associated with his life, Nankana Sahib where he was born and Kartarpur where he died, are both in Pakistan, and Sevahey has no Sevaks there, arranges no travel and has no involvement in the Kartarpur Corridor pilgrimage or its permits. Those are matters for the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and the Indian government's corridor registration.
- **Guru Angad Dev, the Second Guru** (https://sevahey.com/gurus/guru-angad/): Sevahey sells nothing connected to Guru Angad and publishes no image of him. Khadur Sahib, where he lived and died, is not among the gurudwaras on Sevahey, so no Sevak can be sent there and no seva at that gurudwara can be booked through this site. The gurudwaras Sevahey does cover are listed on each Sikh place page.
- **Guru Amar Das, the Third Guru** (https://sevahey.com/gurus/guru-amar-das/): Sevahey sells nothing connected to Guru Amar Das and publishes no image of him. Goindwal, where he lived, built the baoli and died, is not among the gurudwaras on Sevahey, so no Sevak can be sent there. Sevahey also does not arrange an Anand Karaj, the marriage ceremony named from his Anand Sahib, or supply anyone to officiate one.
- **Guru Ram Das, the Fourth Guru** (https://sevahey.com/gurus/guru-ram-das/): Sevahey sells nothing connected to Guru Ram Das and publishes no image of him. Sevahey does not arrange an Anand Karaj or supply anyone to officiate one, so the Lavan he composed cannot be booked through this site in any form. Room booking at the Golden Temple runs through the SGPC's own system and not through Sevahey.
- **Guru Arjan Dev, the Fifth Guru** (https://sevahey.com/gurus/guru-arjan/): Sevahey sells nothing connected to Guru Arjan and publishes no image of him. Room booking at the Golden Temple runs through the SGPC's own accommodation system, not through Sevahey, and no Sevak can secure a room or a place at the langar on your behalf. Sevahey does not arrange an Akhand Path or a Sehaj Path of the volume he compiled; those run through a gurudwara directly.
- **Guru Hargobind Sahib, the Sixth Guru** (https://sevahey.com/gurus/guru-hargobind/): Sevahey sells nothing connected to Guru Hargobind and publishes no image of him. Kiratpur Sahib, where he died, and Guru Ki Wadali, where he was born, are not among the gurudwaras on Sevahey. Sevahey has no standing before the Akal Takht, takes no position on matters it rules on, and cannot present a petition or represent anyone there.
- **Guru Har Rai, the Seventh Guru** (https://sevahey.com/gurus/guru-har-rai/): Sevahey sells nothing connected to Guru Har Rai and publishes no image of him. Kiratpur Sahib, where he was born, lived and died, is not among the gurudwaras on Sevahey, so no Sevak can be sent there. Nothing on this page is medical advice, and neither Sevahey nor any Sevak provides treatment, remedies or health guidance of any kind.
- **Guru Har Krishan, the Eighth Guru** (https://sevahey.com/gurus/guru-har-krishan/): Sevahey sells nothing connected to Guru Har Krishan and publishes no image of him. Sevahey does not supply, ship or sell water from the Bangla Sahib sarovar, and makes no claim that it heals anything. Room booking at Bangla Sahib runs through the gurudwara's own system rather than through Sevahey.
- **Guru Tegh Bahadur, the Ninth Guru** (https://sevahey.com/gurus/guru-tegh-bahadur/): Sevahey sells nothing connected to Guru Tegh Bahadur and publishes no image of him. Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib and Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib in Delhi, which mark his execution and cremation, are not among the gurudwaras on Sevahey, so no Sevak can be sent to either. Bangla Sahib is the Delhi gurudwara Sevahey does cover.
- **Guru Gobind Singh, the Tenth Guru** (https://sevahey.com/gurus/guru-gobind-singh/): Sevahey sells nothing connected to Guru Gobind Singh and publishes no image of him. Sevahey does not administer amrit and has no part in an Amrit Sanchar: initiation into the Khalsa is conducted by the Panj Pyare at a gurudwara and cannot be arranged, booked or represented by any commercial service. Sevahey also does not supply the five articles of faith, and the Hemkund Sahib yatra has its own registration run by the trust rather than through this site.

## Sikh terms

Where a term names something Sevahey sells something adjacent to, the boundary is drawn on the page that defines the word.

- **Waheguru, the Sikh Name for God** (https://sevahey.com/sikhism/waheguru/): Sevahey does not perform simran for anyone and sells nothing connected to the word Waheguru. Repetition of the gurmantar is a personal discipline and no Sevak undertakes it on another person's behalf. Sevahey also has no part in the Amrit Sanchar at which the word is conferred, which is conducted by the Panj Pyare at a gurudwara and cannot be arranged commercially.
- **Guru Granth Sahib, the Eternal Guru** (https://sevahey.com/sikhism/guru-granth-sahib/): Sevahey publishes no text from the Guru Granth Sahib: no Gurmukhi, no transliteration, no translation and no recording. These pages explain the volume and never reproduce it, and for the words themselves a devotee should read the volume or use a gurudwara's own resource. Sevahey also does not arrange an Akhand Path or a Sehaj Path, both of which run through a gurudwara directly, and does not sell or supply copies of the volume.
- **The Khalsa, the Sikh Order Founded in 1699** (https://sevahey.com/sikhism/khalsa/): Sevahey has no part in the Amrit Sanchar and cannot arrange, book or represent anyone at one. Initiation into the Khalsa is conducted by the Panj Pyare at a gurudwara and is not something any commercial service can supply. Sevahey also does not sell the five articles of faith, and takes no position on the disputes within the Panth about who counts as a Sikh.
- **The Khanda, the Sikh Emblem** (https://sevahey.com/sikhism/khanda/): Sevahey does not sell the Khanda in any form, including flags, pendants, stickers or Nishan Sahib cloth, and has no affiliation with anyone who does. No Sevak installs, replaces or handles a Nishan Sahib: re-clothing the pole at Vaisakhi is done by the gurdwara's own sangat and is not a service that can be bought.
- **Langar, the Free Kitchen of the Gurdwara** (https://sevahey.com/sikhism/langar/): Sevahey does not run a langar and does not operate any kitchen. Langar is cooked and served by a gurdwara's own sangat, and it is free by definition, so nobody can sell a place at it or charge for a meal that is already given without charge. Sevahey also cannot reserve, book or hold a place in a langar for a visitor, because langar does not work that way and never has.
- **Hukamnama, the Guru's Order for the Day** (https://sevahey.com/sikhism/hukamnama/): Sevahey does not interpret a hukamnama, does not offer readings, and makes no claim that a hukamnama predicts anything or produces any outcome. A hukamnama is read and explained by the granthi at the gurudwara, and Sevahey neither adds to that nor supplies a reading of its own. Sevahey also publishes no text from the Guru Granth Sahib, so no hukamnama is reproduced on this site.
- **Mool Mantar, the Root Statement** (https://sevahey.com/sikhism/mool-mantar/): Sevahey does not publish the Mool Mantar. This page carries no Gurmukhi, no transliteration, no translation and no recording of it, and the description above sets out what the statement claims rather than reproducing what it says. For the words themselves, read the Guru Granth Sahib at ang 1 or use your gurudwara's own resource. Sevahey also does not teach recitation and no Sevak recites it on anyone's behalf.
- **Kirpan, the Sword Worn by Initiated Sikhs** (https://sevahey.com/sikhism/kirpan/): Sevahey does not sell, supply or ship kirpans or any of the five articles of faith, and has no affiliation with anyone who does. Nothing on this page is legal advice about carrying a kirpan anywhere: the rules differ by country and by setting and change over time, so check the position where you live rather than relying on a general description. Sevahey also has no part in the Amrit Sanchar at which the articles are first worn.
- **Sangat, the Congregation** (https://sevahey.com/sikhism/sangat/): Sevahey is not a sangat and does not present itself as one. Nothing about a verified Sevak attending a gurudwara on your behalf substitutes for sitting in the congregation yourself, and Sevahey makes no claim otherwise. Sevahey also does not run, host or convene gurdwara services, and no Sevak leads or speaks before a sangat.
- **Gurmukhi, the Script of Sikh Scripture** (https://sevahey.com/sikhism/gurmukhi/): Sevahey publishes no Gurmukhi text of any bani, and this page describes the script as a writing system rather than rendering scripture in it. Sevahey does not teach Gurmukhi, offer lessons, or supply learning materials, and no Sevak reads or translates scripture for anyone. For learning the script, a gurdwara's own classes are the usual route and are generally free.

## What Sevahey does do

A verified, named Sevak goes to the place of worship you choose, performs the seva in the name you give, and sends proof the same day: GPS-tagged photographs, a short video, prayer audio where recording is permitted, and a note written by hand. If a place of worship can be searched for, a Sevak can be sent there, including the small mandir at the end of your lane.
