> An ardas is the Sikh prayer of supplication, offered standing before Guru Granth Sahib, in which a devotee's name and request are spoken aloud by the granthi and placed before the Guru. ## What the Sevak does

The Sevak attends the gurudwara, gives your name and gotra to the granthi so the ardas is offered in your name, receives the hukamnama read after it, and captures proof — a photo inside the darbar sahib where permitted, the hukamnama, timing, and a handwritten note.
